Google Launches PayPal Hyperwallet Payments for AdSense Publishers in the U.S.
Google has announced the availability of PayPal Hyperwallet as a payment method for publishers in the United States using the AdSense, AdMob, or Ad Manager platforms. This new option has been available since February 26, 2025, and provides publishers with greater flexibility in managing their earnings.
PayPal Hyperwallet is a specialized service offered by PayPal that allows publishers to directly receive earnings from AdSense and AdSense for YouTube. The service supports a variety of payout methods, including traditional PayPal, the Venmo app, cash pickup, and other local payment options.
How to Set Up PayPal Hyperwallet Payments
To start using PayPal Hyperwallet, you must add it as a new payment method in your AdSense or AdSense for YouTube account.
Steps to Configure PayPal Hyperwallet Payments:
- Sign in to your AdSense or AdSense for YouTube account.
- Navigate to Payments > Payment Information > Manage Payment Methods.
- Click Add Payment Method.
- In the “Add Payment Method” section, select from available options: Venmo, cash pickup, or other local payment methods.
- Click Next.
- Enter the email address you wish to use for your PayPal Hyperwallet account.
- Click Next.
In the “Activate your new Hyperwallet account to receive payments” window:
- Copy and save your Payee ID. You will need this later to activate your PayPal Hyperwallet account.
- Important: Do not share your Payee ID with anyone.
- If you would like this to be your primary payment method, check the box Set as primary payment method.
- Click OK.
Hyperwallet will send an activation email to the address you provided. The email will come from one of the following addresses:

Activating Your PayPal Hyperwallet Account
- When you receive the activation email, click Activate.
- Enter the previously saved Payee ID to verify your account.
- Click Next.
- Provide your personal information and home address.
- Click Next.
- Set your password and security questions.
- Check the appropriate boxes to agree to Hyperwallet’s terms and conditions.
- Click Confirm.
Once your PayPal Hyperwallet account is active, your earnings will be transferred to it as long as your payment threshold has been met and there are no payment holds on your account. For more information, refer to the AdSense Payment Schedule article.
Important Notes:
- This option is available only to publishers based in the United States.
- A new PayPal Hyperwallet account must be created (existing accounts cannot be used).
- Additional fees may apply depending on the chosen payout method.
